Olivia Ann Kunik
9.10.1999 – 1.8.2019

After the tragic suicide of 19-year-old Liv, her mom Honey and sister Tess founded the Liv Project, a nonprofit organization that develops creative tools that encourage fearless conversations to turn the tide of youth suicide. The Liv Project champions the idea that the power of creativity and storytelling is the key to unlocking fearless conversations. They envision a global shift where fear of judgment does not hold anyone back from speaking openly about their mental health. A world where we all have the skills to compassionately listen, support and safely guide those in crisis so that youth suicide is no longer an option.

The Liv Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. You can support The Liv Project and help turn the tide of youth suicide by making a tax-deductible contribution. All gifts go directly to The Liv Project for outreach to engage with youth and promote fearless communication, as well as to make creative tools to support open and honest conversations around mental health and suicide prevention.

 MEET THE PANEL

Honey Beuf headshot

HELEN (HONEY) BEUF
LIV’S MOM AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE LIV PROJECT

Honey is the Executive Director for The Liv Project. Honey raised her three children Max, Tess and Liv in a small town outside of Boulder, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and co-founded a women-owned staffing firm where she served as Vice President and CFO until retiring in 2018. When her daughter Liv died by suicide in January of 2019, Honey and her daughter Tess were determined to start an organization to help prevent other families and communities from experiencing the brutal grief of suicide loss. Creativity has always played a vital role in Honey’s family, so it made sense to develop programs utilizing the power of artful imagination to normalize the dialogue about youth mental health and suicide. Honey embraces The Liv Project’s vision to see a global shift where fear of judgment does not hold anyone back from speaking openly about their mental health — a world where everyone has the skills to compassionately listen, support and safely guide those in crisis, so that youth suicide is no longer a reality.

From 2015-2020, she served as teaching artist, props designer and stage manager at Wolf Performing Arts Center and later brought theatre programming to schools in the Greater Philadelphia Area as their Education and Outreach Manager. Tess is passionate about storytelling and its power to educate, inspire and start conversations. Chantal King headshot

CHANTAL KING, LIV'S FRIEND

Chantal is a Youth Advisor for The Liv Project and a biracial queer actor and voice-over artist. With Chantal’s love of acting, animation and video gaming combined, she found her way into the voice-over world with the help of Fred Greenhalgh at Dagaz Media and Mind’s Eye Productions in South Portland, Maine. She was instantly hooked on voice-over work due to her involvement in creating dramatic podcasts and audiobooks such as “Battle of Darcy Lane” with Mind’s Eye Productions and “The Collective,” “Fae of Fiends” and “Dream Breachers Season Two” with Dagza Media. Chantal continues to take classes with Blumvox Studios, The Halp Network and Upright Citizens Brigade Training Center, and she has continued her voice-over education with Queer Vox.
