How Will This Workshop Help Me?
This three-part live, highly interactive virtual learning experience is designed to elevate your personal and professional development beyond traditional skill-building. This workshop consists of three classes that are one hour long each. Each class will benefit anyone looking to improve their ability to communicate and collaborate in the workplace.
Power skills are essential skills that complement technical capabilities such as interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities. Our goal is to provide you with an understanding of what each of these power skills looks like in action and steps you can take to apply them into your workplace.
Register for Upcoming Sessions
Workshop sessions are approximately an hour in duration and are offered once a day throughout the dates listed. We encourage you to join with your camera turned on, unmuted, and ready to engage with our instructors to get the most out of your time with us.

STEP 1: Register for the event: Please complete all sections so we can best meet your needs and expectations.
STEP 2: Cisco WebEx will be used for the virtual sessions. Invitations will be sent to you at least a week in advance for your WebEx sessions.
STEP 3: On the day of the session, join through your WebEx Calendar invitation.

Session 1: Critical Thinking & Decision Making
Decide with Impact: The Power of Critical Thinking: We all have decisions to make and some are easier than others. Developing your critical thinking skills will help not only with your decision-making abilities, but also make you a more effective problem solver all while tapping into your creativity. In this workshop you will learn how to strengthen your judgment and sharpen analytical thinking by learning how critical thinking directly shapes outcomes. You will learn how to break down problems, evaluate information objectively, recognize your biases, and assess risk before taking action. By the end of the course, you will be better prepared to navigate uncertainty, think strategically, and make decisions with clarity and confidence.

Session 2: Conflict into Collaboration with Emotional Intelligence
Turn Conflict into Collaboration with Emotional Intelligence: Conflict at work is inevitable. Emotional intelligence, which involves being aware of your own emotions and the emotions of others, allows you to navigate workplace conflicts successfully. In this workshop, you will learn to identify and understand emotional triggers, regulate your responses to those emotions, and engage in difficult conversations through real-world scenarios and practical exercises that promote trust and collaboration.

Session 3: Effective Communication Skills
From Message to Impact: Skills for Clear Communication: At times we may feel as though our communication, whether virtual or face to face was not received correctly. In this workshop we will focus on how to communicate with clarity and confidence by organizing ideas, adapting messages for different audiences, and using tone, body language, and active listening to create meaningful impact. Through practical examples and applied exercises, you will develop techniques to reduce miscommunication, strengthen engagement, and create messages that resonate.
